Master Class with an Artist
As a community arts space, we strive to promote local artists and encourage dialogue amongst art enthusiasts from all around the region. Hence, we now offer master classes once a month, where we invite well-known artists to hold a session in which they explain the thought process and techniques behind their masterpieces. Attendees then get the opportunity to take inspiration from their work and create artworks of their own, alongside the artist.

Master class with Victor Sitali
Saturday 4 April / 11am - 2pm

Ages 16+
This Master class will focus on oil painting. Artist, Victor Sitali, will introduce you to the medium and teach you how to use it.
He will guide you through a series of techniques and styles of working with oil and getting familiar with its particular consistency. The session will then focus on capturing light and creating tones, as well as understanding and isolating values.
As you progress, Sitali will guide you to let go and explore your own painting style, while you learn to perfect the details of your composition, portrait or landscape.
